Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Epic Project Manager to lead and manage large-scale Epic EHR implementation and optimization projects within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing Epic-related initiatives coordinating cross-functional teams and delivering complex healthcare IT projects on time and within scope.
This role requires regular travel to Long Island NY to collaborate with clinical operational and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end Epic implementation upgrade and optimization projects within healthcare systems.

Develop and manage project plans timelines budgets and resource allocation.

Coordinate with clinical leadership IT teams Epic analysts and external vendors to ensure project success.

Drive Epic module deployment integration testing and go-live readiness activities.

Monitor project progress and manage risks dependencies and change management processes.

Facilitate stakeholder meetings executive updates and status reporting.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations security standards and Epic best practices.

Support workflow analysis and optimization across clinical and operational teams.

Lead post-go-live stabilization issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications

8 years of IT Project Management experience preferably in healthcare environments.

3 years managing Epic implementation or Epic optimization projects.

Strong knowledge of Epic EHR ecosystem and healthcare workflows.

Experience managing cross-functional teams including Epic analysts clinicians and IT teams.

Proven experience delivering large enterprise healthcare IT programs.

Strong expertise in Agile Waterfall or hybrid project management methodologies.

Excellent stakeholder management communication and leadership skills.

Ability to travel to Long Island NY as required for project milestones and stakeholder meetings.
Preferred Qualifications

Epic certification (any module) such as EpicCare Resolute Cadence or Beacon.

PMP PMI-ACP or similar project management certification.

Experience with Epic upgrades integration or multi-facility deployments.
