Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements including balance sheets P&L statements and cash flow reports.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger process journal entries and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the invoicing payments to vendors and suppliers and collections from customers with a focus on timely payment processing for goods received/sold.
- Inventory and Cost Accounting: Oversee inventory accounting including stock valuation tracking stock levels analyzing variances between physical stock counts and system records and managing the cost of goods sold.
- Taxation and Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and timely filing of taxes such as GST Income Tax TDS/VAT and other statutory compliances.
- Auditing Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide necessary documentation and schedules for a smooth audit process.
- Financial Analysis: Assist in budgeting forecasting and analyzing financial data (e.g. promotional expenses discounts cost reduction opportunities) to provide insights and support management decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting software likeTally QuickBooks or ERP systems is often required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in a manufacturing retail or trading environment is often preferred.
- A Bachelors degree in Commerce Accounting or Finance is a common qualification with professional certifications (CA CPA etc.) being a significant advantage.
