Job Summary
Job Description:
A DCS Engineer in a steel manufacturing company (e.g.Vinayak Outsourcing Works Pvt Ltd)operates and maintains Distributed Control Systems to manage optimize and troubleshoot critical production processes such as boilers furnaces or power plants. Key responsibilities include monitoring real-time parameters responding to alarms ensuring safety compliance performing PID loop tuning and maintaining HMI/PLC systems.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Process Control & Monitoring:Continuously monitor and control steel-making operations via DCS to maintain optimal process efficiency.
- System Operation:Operate and monitor PF boiler and turbine through the DCS system to ensure safe and smooth power plant operations.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance:Diagnose and repair hardware/software issues in the control system and ensure system reliability.
- Safety Compliance:Ensure all operations meet safety regulations and standards.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:Maintain logs and prepare technical documentation related to production data.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education:B.E./ in Instrumentation Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience:Generally 3 to 8 years of experience in the steel power plant orferro-alloy industries.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in DCS configuration PLC programming SCADA systems PID loop tuning and instrument calibration.
- Key Competencies:Strong analytical skills troubleshooting ability and the capacity to work in shifts.
Typical Compensation
- Based on listings the CTC salary for this role ranges from roughly 2.64 LPA to 4.80 LPA depending on experience and location
