A Civil Manager for a construction company
oversees projects from conception to completion ensuring they are delivered on time within budget and up to quality standards. Key responsibilities include planning coordinating subcontractors managing budgets and ensuring safety compliance. The role requires a Bachelors in Civil Engineering and 5 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution:Lead all phases of civil projects (e.g. building infrastructure) from inception to completion.
- Planning & Scheduling:Develop detailed project timelines work schedules and resource allocation plans.
- Budgeting & Cost Control:Manage project finances including cost estimation tracking expenses and reducing overruns.
- Technical Compliance:Review blueprints structural drawings and technical specifications ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Team Leadership & Coordination:Supervise on-site teams and coordinate with architects consultants contractors and vendors.
- Reporting:Prepare daily weekly and monthly progress reports including project status and site inspections.
- Quality & Risk Management:Monitor work quality and identify/resolve potential issues or delays.
- Contract Management:Handle client meetings prepare RA (Running Account) bills and manage project closure.
Job Requirements
- Education:Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience:Proven experience (often 5-10 years) in construction project management.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in project management software (MS Project) AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Skills:Strong leadership communication negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Certifications:PMP or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certifications are a plus.
