Job Summary

Job Title: Cloud Automation & Data (Fabric & Terraform)

Location: Lisbon Portugal

Work Regime: Full-time & Hybrid (2x office days some weeks fully remote)

Overview / Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join our Infra Cloud Squad. This role focuses on automating the provisioning and configuration of cloud infrastructure specifically for the role that supports Microsoft Fabric components and associated infrastructure. You will play a key role in enabling scalable secure and efficient environments for data-driven solutions.

The teams core responsibilities include analysis and architecture validation of cloud infrastructure supporting Microsoft Fabric workloads.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate the deployment of Azure resources supporting Microsoft Fabric (e.g. Data Factory Synapse Power BI Lakehouse).
Collaborate with architects and data engineers to define infrastructure requirements aligned with Fabric workloads.
Develop and maintain reusable automation templates using Terraform and manage deployments via Env0.
Ensure compliance with security governance and cost optimization best practices.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage tasks via Jira.
Document infrastructure designs automation processes and operational procedures.
Support the team in architecture validation and infrastructure analysis.
Automate configuration management using Ansible its a plus.

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements:

3 years of experience in automating Azure infrastructure for data and analytics platforms.
Strong proficiency in Terraform for IaC and deployment orchestration.
Solid scripting skills in PowerShell and/or Python.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps GitHub Actions).
Deep understanding of Microsoft Fabric architecture and its infrastructure dependencies.
Familiarity with Azure networking identity monitoring and security.
Experience working in Agile teams and using Jira for task management.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
AZ-900 Certification is required.
Experience with Ansible for configuration management its a plus.

Extra Requirements:

Microsoft certifications (e.g. AZ-104 AZ-305 DP-600).
Experience with monitoring and alerting automation (e.g. Azure Monitor Log Analytics).
Exposure to DataOps or DevOps for data platforms.
Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus.
