Siegwerk inHickory NC is looking for an InHouse Technicianto join our team! As an InHouse Technician you will perform a broad range of technical tasks pertaining to daily ink room management and operation under the direction of the Ink Room Manager.
The shift will be 3:00 pm-11:00 pm
Job Responsibilities
- Assists customer with ink room operations.
- Coordinates job set up for presses.
- Formulates and blends inks as required.
- Maintains inventory control standards.
- Organizes inks for press runs.
- Returns inks from press to appropriate area.
- Performs press-side color matching.
- Operates color computer.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience working with solvent ink is strongly preferred.
- Color matching ability and knowledge of inks and films preferred.
- Excellent teamwork interpersonal and communication skills; as well as a demonstrated initiative in problem solving/troubleshooting required.
- Knowledge of basic computer operating and a good working knowledge of IMS.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence
