Position Overview
TheManufacturing Technician IIsupports aerospace and spaceflight production by performing hands-on fabrication and structural assembly tasks in a precision manufacturing environment. ThisManufacturing Technician IIrole requires strong attention to detail the ability to interpret technical documentation and a commitment to producing high-quality components that meet strict aerospace standards.
The idealManufacturing Technician IIis mechanically skilled safety-focused and capable of working with delicate aerospace components while supporting production goals related toQuality Cost Delivery Safety and Attitude (QCDSA).
Required Experience & Skills
High School Diploma or GED required
28 years of manufacturing fabrication or assembly experience
Ability toread and interpret technical drawings blueprints and work instructions
Strongmechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Experience handlingprecision components in manufacturing environments
Ability tomulti-task and meet production deadlines
Strongcommunication and teamwork skills
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performmechanical fabrication using hand tools and inspection equipment
Operate within fabrication disciplines such asdeburring shearing polishing sawing and routing
Receive cross-training inassembly brake forming heat treat hot forming and press forming processes
Followdetailed work instructions process sheets and blueprints
Handleprecision aerospace components with care and accuracy
Conductvisual and dimensional inspections of manufactured parts
Complete requiredproduction documentation including routers and inspection logs
Maintain aclean organized and safety-focused workspace
Collaborate with team members toidentify production issues and support manufacturability improvements
Preferred Experience
Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred
Familiarity withaerospace manufacturing standards such as AS9100
Exposure toLean Manufacturing Six Sigma or continuous improvement initiatives
Mechanical experience inaerospace automotive or motorsports environments
Forklift or material handling experience (certification required)
Computer Skills
Basic proficiency withcomputer systems and material management software
Additional Requirements
Must belegally authorized to work in the United States
Ability to comply withOSHA NADCAP ISO9000 / AS9100 ITAR and FAA regulations
Ability to obtaininternal certifications such as forklift slings/cranes FPV or heat treat certifications
Physical Requirements
Ability tostand walk bend and reach for extended periods (812 hours per shift)
Ability tolift carry push or pull 2550 lbs regularly with heavier lifting assisted when necessary
Ability to work in amanufacturing environment with moderate noise vibration and temperature variation
Ability to wearrequired PPE including safety glasses gloves and hearing protection
