Job Summary
The Gulli Lab is seeking a motivated and organized Research Assistant. This is a full-time position ideal for a recent graduate seeking deep hands-on research experience in preparation for graduate (PhD) or medical (MD) school. You will be a core member of the research team playing a direct role in the experiments that form the two pillars of our labs mission.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the training of non-human primates on cognitive tasks in virtual reality.
- Supporting large-scale electrophysiology experiments and collecting behavioral and neural data.
- Contributing to data organization and analysis.
- General lab support including assistance with animal care and daily lab operations.
- Performs other related duties.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in science (or related field) or HS/GED. A Bachelors or Masters degree in Neuroscience Biology Psychology Engineering or a related field preferred
- 2 years of related experience Two years in research environment
- Experience working with non-human primates is strongly preferred.
- A strong interest in systems neuroscience and a passion for understanding the brain.
- Excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in coding (MATLAB Python C# and/or bash scripting) is a major plus.
