We are seeking five (5) direct hire fixed term Project Managers that will be supporting priority cloud infrastructure-based projects in our Digital Services EPMO. These projects are expected to run until December 2026 with effort to re-assign or find a permanent role based on strong performance and existing work. Onsite requirement up to 40% (2 times per week) at either our east (Southfield) or west (Grand Rapids) locations.
Under general direction oversees multiple small to mid-sized medium-complexity projects. Responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire project life cycle. Responsible for assembling project team assigning individual responsibilities identifying appropriate resources needed and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project. To effectively coordinate the activities of the team must be familiar with system scope and project objectives as well as the role and function of each team member. Competent to work on most phases of project management but at times may require guidance from more experience team members.
Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines milestones and resource allocation. Ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements objectives and deliverables. Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams providing direction support and motivation. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements. Conduct regular reviews and assessments to maintain project quality.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation including status reports project plans and risk assessments. Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Required
Associates Degree /Technical school or equivalent
3 years of relevant experience in the field
Preferred
Bachelors Degree or equivalent
5 years of relevant experience in the field
Experience working on infrastructure information security and/or cloud-based project (highly preferred)
Experience leading projects or gathering business requirements
Experience managing small to medium project teams (2 to 7) within a matrix organization and projects in multiple technologies and/or business functions
