Job Summary
The Site HRBP will support Site Operations goals strategies and to identify opportunities to increase organizational effectiveness and productivity. Under the general direction of the Site Director/Manager Human Resources the Human Resources Business Partner carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment/employment affirmative action plans and employment law compliance benefits administration training performance management on-boarding and policy implementation.
Job Responsibilities
- Cultivate a safe work environment that promotes mental and emotional wellness throughout the organization.
- Support Site Operations goals and identify opportunities to increase organizational effectiveness and productivity.
- Analyze data trends and metrics to recommend appropriate business decisions.
- Role model the GKN Culture Principles and support the organization in deploying them
- Participate in and support a variety of employee engagement/community events and activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the human resources department to develop policies programs and workforce solutions.
- Create and implement innovative solutions to build morale improve workplace relationships and boost productivity and retention.
- Conduct weekly meetings with each client group and consult regularly with management to provide guidance when appropriate.
- Drive the recruitment process in partnership with the COE/hiring managers and ensures consistency and compliance throughout the process.
- Provide input on workforce succession planning and effectively communicate career paths and development opportunities.
- Identify training needs and create or procure a professional development curriculum at all levels within the organization
- Monitor training program(s) effectiveness to ensure that training objectives are met.
- Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
- Ensure regulatory compliance pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees; collaborate with the legal department when necessary.
- Performs all related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
- 5 years of human resources generalist experience including experience in a manufacturing setting with 100 employees.
- 3 years of full-time human resources experience including strong employee relations
- Hands-on experience in employee relations and labor law application.
Preferred Qualifications
- GKN Aerospace Experience
- HR process knowledge experience
- Experience working with unions is a plus.
- Must be adept at problem-solving including being able to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Aerospace industry experience referred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate problems simply and effectively
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (incl. Word Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability to effectively work autonomously with the support of the site HR leadership team
