Assistant Director
ITS (Internal Transformation Services) under EYs Enablement Service is a team of seasoned consulting professionals that operate globally on internal transformation programs critical to EYs strategy and ambition. Our expertise lies in Project Management Strategy Technology Process Improvement Organization Design and Organizational Change Management.
The Assistant Director role is pivotal in driving the internal transformation initiatives that align with EYs overarching purpose of building a better working world. By leveraging our expertise in various domains the Assistant Director will contribute to the successful execution of projects that support the All In strategy which emphasizes collaboration innovation and delivering exceptional client value. This role will not only enhance operational efficiency but also foster a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability within the organization ensuring that EY remains at the forefront of industry transformation.
Reports to:
The Assistant Director is an individual contributor role operating within a global and country specific team structure. The role is supported by a designated Counselor within EY for guidance and support ensuring alignment with the firms strategic priorities and operational objectives.
Supervision Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director will lead cross-functional project teams which may include direct and matrix reporting of consultants and subject matter experts (SMEs). Responsibilities will include providing performance feedback and coaching to team members aligning individual goals with program outcomes and guiding managers and senior associates in their professional development.
Primary Location:
The primary location for this role will be Taguig City Philippines (GDS ES Philippines). The Assistant Director will engage in global teaming across various time zones and will have the flexibility to work in a hybrid environment balancing in-office collaboration with remote work.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Business Consultant to join our dynamic team. ITS professionals should be able to operate globally on internal programs that are critical to EYs strategy and ambition. As a Business Consultant you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic guidance and expert advice to our Executive Leadership in the areas of project management change management and design thinking. Your extensive experience in these fields will be invaluable as you collaborate with cross-functional teams lead transformative projects and drive organizational growth and innovation. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of project management methodologies change management principles and design thinking frameworks along with exceptional leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
Success Profile (First 612 Months):
By Month 612 the Assistant Director will have:
Set up a robust portfolio governance structure that aligns with EYs strategic objectives ensuring effective oversight and prioritization of transformation initiatives.
Successfully led and delivered at least one major transformation projects demonstrating the ability to drive change and achieve measurable business outcomes.
Built and maintained strong relationships with key stakeholders resulting in improved collaboration and satisfaction scores among senior leadership.
Developed and executed effective change management strategies that facilitated smooth transitions during organizational transformations including conducting Change Impact Analysis.
Initiated and promoted a culture of continuous improvement within teams leading to innovative solutions and enhanced operational efficiency.
Actively mentored junior consultants contributing to their professional development and fostering a high-performing team environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategic Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with Executive Leadership to understand their business objectives challenges and opportunities.
Manage and engage senior stakeholder relationships at CxO Partner and Functional Head levels.
Perform rapid assessments of the landscape for stakeholders and provide insights to accelerate action towards refining their current state.
Program and Project Management and Delivery:
Lead and manage complex programs and projects from initiation to closure ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
Define project scope objectives deliverables roadmaps and success criteria in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
Monitor project progress identify risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies.
Change Management:
Develop and implement change management strategies and roadmaps to support organizational transformation initiatives.
Conduct Change Impact Analysis and Change Readiness/Gap Assessment providing actionable recommendations for immediate and long-term improvements.
Build a strong change network drive change adoption and manage stakeholders with a people-centric approach.
Design Thinking and Innovation:
Apply design thinking principles and methodologies to identify innovative solutions to complex business problems.
Conduct user research gather insights and define user personas and journeys.
Advocate for design thinking principles and foster a culture of creativity and experimentation within client organizations.
AI Programs and Mentorship:
Partner with business and transformation teams to drive AI programs and initiatives providing strategic insights on emerging AI trends and their implications.
Mentor and coach junior consultants providing guidance and support in their professional growth.
Analytical Insights and Recommendations:
Conduct comprehensive analyses of the organizations processes and systems.
Provide strategic recommendations and action plans to drive business performance and transformation.
Bring diverse and thought-provoking perspectives to transformations including market trends and innovative ideas to drive data-driven decision-making.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of the firms methodologies and frameworks.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive and build upon a culture of continuous improvement by developing innovative ideas.
Foster effective communication and collaboration among project teams and stakeholders.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change management efforts and adjust as necessary.
What Will Make You Eligible for This Role
Education:
Masters degree in business administration management or a related field.
Professional Certifications:
Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) certification in Change Management or Design Thinking are highly desirable.
Exposure to or certifications in AI would be an added advantage.
Experience:
10 years of experience with at least 7 years of management/business consulting experience.
Hands-on experience leading change initiatives and applying project management methodologies in various contexts.
Skills:
Advanced MS Suite skills particularly in developing engaging presentations and dashboards.
Deep understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile Waterfall) and their practical application.
Extensive knowledge of change management principles models and methodologies.
Proficiency in design thinking frameworks and tools with the ability to apply them effectively to solve complex business problems.
Familiarity with AI in business contexts (e.g. GenAI copilots no-code AI productivity augmentation etc.).
Strong understanding of AI adoption challenges organizational change impacts and ethical AI considerations.
Familiarity with product management and product lifecycle.
Other Requirements:
Awareness and experience in leveraging technology as enablers.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
Good to have
Experience working in the Big 4 professional services firms and other global management consultancies is highly desirable
MBA or equivalent advanced education is preferable
Certification in Project Management Organisational Change Management Design Thinking Facilitation AI will be an advantage
Knowledge on AI engineering framework
