Customer Description:
The customer is a regulated digital asset bank operating in Europe.
It focuses on providing secure and compliant financial services related to digital assets for institutional and private clients operating at the intersection of traditional finance and emerging digital technologies.

Project Description:
The project involves building a unified cross-product e-banking portal with the goal of becoming state-of-the-art across both traditional banking and digital asset platforms.
The role focuses on auditing refining and scaling an existing design system ensuring it is robust extensible and aligned with long-term product strategy through close collaboration with engineering teams.

Strategic and systems-level thinking
Strong communication and collaboration skills with engineering leadership
Ability to justify design decisions using efficiency scalability and maintainability arguments

Hard Skills / Must Have:
2 years of experience in product design (UI/UX)
5 years of hands-on experience building and scaling design systems at an organizational level
Proven experience evolving design systems for products with a large user base
Expert-level proficiency in Figma including components tokens variants auto-layouts and plugins
Deep understanding of design tokens and component architecture and their connection to code
Experience defining and maintaining typography and color guidelines within a design system
Strong focus on responsive and scalable component design across devices
Experience integrating design systems with front-end frameworks such as Storybook React or MUI
Knowledge of WCAG and accessibility standards and their implementation in components
Strong documentation skills for organizing and maintaining component libraries

Hard Skills / Nice to Have:
Experience with multi-brand or cross-platform design systems
Background in regulated digital finance or similar domains

Responsibilities and Tasks:
Define the architecture and long-term vision of the design system to ensure scalability and efficiency
Develop and maintain visual guidelines including typography color spacing and grids
Build document and maintain responsive component libraries based on MUI
Establish processes for system updates quality control and adoption across teams
Collaborate closely with UX leadership and front-end engineering teams
Conduct design reviews and promote best practices for system usage
