School Nurse (RN) Elementary School Illinois
Full-Time On-Site Immediate Opening with potential for renewal
An Illinois school district in partnership with Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a full-time School Nurse (RN) to support an elementary school setting. This on-site role is ideal for a compassionate nurse who is committed to student wellness and school safety.
The School Nurse will provide daily health services oversee medical accommodations and support students with IEPs and 504 plans. Responsibilities include coordinating care with families and staff maintaining health compliance and promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
The School Nurse will provide daily nursing care to students experiencing illness injury or other medical concerns while administering medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies. This role includes developing implementing and monitoring Individual Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and supporting students with chronic health conditions such as diabetes and asthma. The nurse will maintain accurate confidential health records and immunization documentation conduct applicable health screenings including vision and hearing and communicate effectively with families administrators and educators regarding student health addition the School Nurse will promote health education wellness initiatives and disease prevention practices while ensuring full compliance with Illinois state regulations and district health protocols.
Requirements
- Current BLS/CPR/AED certification.
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Hearing and vision certification preferred but not required.
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Nurse endorsement.
