Job Summary
Cafeteria Assistant 4.5 hours per day (9:00 am 1:30 pm) Monday through Friday 22.50 hours per week School year position Hourly rate per salary table Grade 3 - $20.65 to $24.54 based on experience Start date: immediate openingDuties: Performs a variety of food service activities including but not limited to operating the POS system mealaccountability assists cook and other cafeteria assistants with meal preparation and service cleaning and dishes. Meetsall standards of local state and federal health and USDA meal regulationsPhysical/essential functions: The employee is frequently required to walk and continuously required to stand for periodsof time while performing the duties of this job. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk whileperforming the duties of this job. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms and repeat the samehand/arm/finger motion many times as in operating a cash register and serving food utensils. The employee mustoccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. at a time. While performing the duties of this job the employee occasionally willwalk on slippery surfaces. Possess physical mental and emotional stamina to endure a fast-paced condition. Be able towork in a cold or hot condition. The employee has a greater than average risk of getting a minor injury such as a cut or burnwhile performing the duties of this Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent.
