Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support rehabilitation services in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility strength and functional independence following illness injury or surgery.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.

Provide therapeutic exercises mobility training and functional rehabilitation activities.

Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition or response to treatment to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and safe mobility techniques.

Document patient treatments progress notes and outcomes accurately in accordance with facility policies.

Ensure therapy equipment is maintained and used safely.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient recovery and discharge planning.

Maintain compliance with professional standards safety regulations and facility guidelines.
Qualifications

Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice.

Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Less than one year of experience acceptable preferably in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting.

Strong communication teamwork and patient care skills.

Ability to follow treatment plans and work under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
