Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinical operations in a healthcare setting. The CMA will assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care clinical procedures and administrative duties while ensuring high-quality service and patient safety. This role requires flexibility to work rotating day and evening shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations procedures and treatments.

Record and monitor vital signs patient histories and clinical information.

Prepare patients for examinations and ensure a safe and comfortable clinical environment.

Administer medications and injections as permitted by scope of practice and facility policy.

Perform basic laboratory procedures and specimen collection when required.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Coordinate patient flow scheduling and follow-up care as directed by the healthcare team.

Maintain exam rooms medical equipment and supplies in accordance with infection control standards.

Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.

Minimum 4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or healthcare setting.

Current BLS/BCLS certification required.

Additional certifications such as ACLS PALS NRP or ATT may be required depending on department needs.

Experience working with Cerner EMR or similar electronic health record systems preferred.

Strong communication organizational and patient care skills.

Ability to work flexible schedules including rotating shifts weekends and holidays.

Position requires 40 hours per week with 8-hour rotating day and evening shifts.

Weekend and holiday coverage may be required depending on operational needs.

Holiday pay applies only when the shift begins on the designated holiday.
