Job Description:
TDWISI National Office provides TD Wealth clients with comprehensive insurance-based solutions to assist clients in creating preserving and transitioning their wealth through several tax advantaged strategies. Our insurance solutions are offered through Wealth Insurance Advisors (WIAs) utilizing insurance products manufactured by leading third-party insurance carriers. The WIA role is responsible for generating insurance sales revenue via clients referred to them from their assignment to an EPA team region or Wealth initiative within the Private Wealth Management space.
Job Description / Accountabilities
Supporting business growth and insurance engagement within the assigned region
Accountable for generating life insurance sales and managing throughout the sales cycle from prospecting application and ongoing service.
Capable of provide direct Relationship Management support to referral partners within TD Wealth Management to gain access to their client base.
Analyze and build relationships with Mass Affluent clients to provide sophisticated insurance strategies and solutions as part of a clients overall financial plan.
Providing training and education to our internal relationship managers on the insurance sales process and basic product details.
Work with insurance carrier wholesalers to build awareness and promote their insurance solutions within the TD Wealth offices.
Support the underwriting and enforce service requirements to ensure a successful client and business partner experience
Specific Educational Requirements / Accreditations
Must be life insurance licensed
Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the Canadian Life Insurance Industry preferably in sales
Possessing a professionally recognized accreditation such as CFP CLU CHFC or CHS or similar designations is preferred
University degree is also an asset
Other Qualifications / Skills / Experience
Familiar with all the insurance carriers and their product offerings and have the capability of extrapolating the appropriate product and strategies to meet the specific needs of our high net worth clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Marketing skills related to life insurance and similar products.
Strong technical and problem-solving skills related to the investment 22991 tax legal issues associated with life insurance and related products. Capable of integrating your knowledge into sophisticated insurance solutions that meets the needs to our high net worth clients.
Ability to communicate effectively on an individual and group basis and where directly client engagement is required
Strong Understanding of the compliance and risk requirements associated with provincial regulations.
