Our client is seeking a Commercial Insurance Advisor to join their growing Farm and Commercial Insurance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional who enjoys building relationships servicing an established book of business and expanding their portfolio.
This role is available across multiple Alberta locations including Cold Lake St. Albert Vegreville and Lacombe offering flexibility for candidates within these regions.
Manage and service an existing commercial and farm insurance book of business with opportunities to grow and develop new accounts
Provide exceptional client service by offering professional insurance advice and addressing client questions or concerns
Review incoming commercial documentation and provide processing instructions
Prepare quotes assist with new business placements and review existing coverage to ensure client needs are met
Maintain accurate client records and update policy information as required
Prepare documentation for insurers complete applications for new policies and issue insurance certificates
Process endorsements and policy changes while ensuring timely follow-up on payments
Communicate with insurance carriers and negotiate with underwriters on behalf of clients
Support the renewal process by negotiating terms and reviewing coverage options
Coordinate with adjusters and follow up on claim statuses when necessary
Gather and provide any additional underwriting information required to support policy placements
High School Diploma required; Post-secondary education is considered an asset
35 years of insurance industry experience preferably in commercial or farm lines
Minimum 2 years of client service experience
General Insurance License required (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Experience with EPIC brokerage management system is an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical organizational verbal and written communication skills
