About the Role
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process during an assigned shift to ensure highquality output operational efficiency and adherence to health safety and environmental standards. This role supports and develops a diverse team of production employees and works collaboratively with crossfunctional partners to meet production goals. The Production Supervisor also contributes to workforce development employee engagement and continuous improvement within the Production Department.
What Youll Do
Oversee daily production operations for the assigned shift ensuring safety quality productivity and schedule adherence are consistently achieved.
Lead shift handovers and daily startup meetings clearly communicating priorities performance insights and operational risks.
Optimize labor workflow materials and equipment utilization while coordinating with maintenance process and technical teams to resolve production issues.
Monitor and analyze production cost and performance data (e.g. MES shift reports) to identify trends remove barriers and drive informed decisionmaking.
Support coach and develop production team members through clear expectations ongoing feedback performance discussions and targeted training initiatives.
Champion a proactive health safety and environmental culture by ensuring compliance with corporate policies ISO standards incident reporting and 5S practices.
Partner with Human Resources to support inclusive recruitment onboarding certification and succession planning to build a skilled and engaged workforce.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives audits and standardized work development to enhance safety consistency quality and operational excellence.
What You Bring
Education & Certifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is considered an asset.
Approximately five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to safety continuous improvement and people leadership preferred.
Working knowledge of health safety and environmental practices in a production setting.
Experience with plastics blending and/or processing (e.g. extrusion molding) is an asset but not required.
