The Role
As a qualified Crèche Assistant you will be responsible for creating a safe welcoming and engaging setting for our youngest members. This includes supervising play supporting childrens wellbeing maintaining high standards of care and ensuring all safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure a safe environment is provided for all Crèche users offering appropriate social creative and fun activities.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as registers and equipment checks.
- Follow all Crèche policies safeguarding procedures and behaviour management guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality in line with safeguarding and Data Protection regulations.
- Report any welfare concerns to the Junior Activities Coordinator or the designated Child Welfare Officer.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and club policies.
- Maintain a clean safe and hazard-free environment.
- Be fully trained and prepared for emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service in line with Lensbury standards.
- Communicate professionally and warmly with parents guardians and colleagues.
- Carry out additional duties as required
What were looking for:
To be successful in this role you must possess the following qualifications attitude behaviours skills and values:
- Minimum Level 2 Childcare qualification required (Level 3 desirable)
- Previous experience in a similar environment
- A genuine passion for creating great experiences for children and their families
- A friendly calm and approachable nature with the ability to act quickly and effectively
- Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to complete)
- Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
