Job Description
Essence of the job:
The process draughtsman will create detailed technical drawings schematics (PFDs P&IDs) for Gold Copper Zinc Lead Process Plants using CAD software ensuring designs meet engineering standards safety regulations and project specifications managing documentation and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into buildable plans for fabrication and installation focusing on accuracy detail and efficiency.
Qualification:
Typically an associates degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have mineral processing plant process draughting experience
Design & Drafting:Produce detailed 2D PFDs & PIDS drawings from engineering sketches and concepts using CAD software (AutoCAD SolidWorks).
Documentation:Develop and maintain equipment libraries Bills of Materials (BOMs) Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and manage drawing revisions.
Collaboration:Work with engineers project managers and clients to refine designs and confirm project requirements.
Quality Control:Pre-inspect and check drawings ensure compliance with industry standards.
Technical Support:Provide process drawing support during the layout & modelling stages of the project.
Software Proficiency:Experience in CAD software (AutoCAD SolidWorks Navisworks) and potentially Visio.
Technical Knowledge:Understanding engineering principles fabrication processes and relevant industry standards.
Attention to Detail:A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in complex technical drawings.
Communication:Strong ability to communicate technical information to diverse teams.
