Job Summary
EDUCATION: Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering
Greenbelt certificate (Advantageous)
EXPERIENCE: Min 5 years in a manufacturing environment
Min 1 year in manufacturing pumps and valves
REQUIREMENTS: Computer Litracy including Microsoft Office 365
Strong project management skills
Time management
Proficiency in utilizing manufacturing process improvement tools such as Value Stream Mapping
5S DMAIC and FMEA.
Key Accountabilities
- Establish standard times for production processes.
- Design strategic layouts to promote plant-wide efficiency.
- Participate in various capital expenditure projects throughout the year.
- Identifyand resolve bottlenecks in production.
- Provide necessary equipment to enhance production efficiency.
- Analyse workflows to understand systems and processesusing Lean Tools like Value Stream Mapping
- Assess andmodifyproduction layouts to improve efficiency.
- Optimise work distribution and streamline operations.
- Collaborate with management to ensure compliance and inform strategic decisions.
- Conduct time studies to reduce variations in operations.
- Perform audits toidentifyandeliminatenon-conformances.
- Monitor and preserve assets to support innovation and asset lifecycle tracking.
- Promote and embed lean culture in the work environment.
- Conduct SMED to standardise and improve setup processes.
- Deliver training based on improvement findings from management.
- Comply with and enforce all KSB Pumps and Valves (Pty) Ltd Policies and Procedures
- Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time
