What youll be doing

Youll be joining CIBCs Enterprise Customer Information Services (ECIS) team. As an Consultant Back End Developer youll will with senior teams and levels on multiple ECIS applications. Youll lead the planning and strategy for the technical design development and integration of these applications.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work youll be on-site full-time. Youll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where youll spend 1-3 days per week on-site while other days will be remote.

How youll succeed

Design and Development- Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities. Design the applications technical infrastructure using specific databases programming languages utilities and testing approaches. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
Strategic Planning- Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the banks vision strategy and business goals. Lead multiple complicated projects involving backend systems new technology and the enhancement of existing applications.
Team Management Skills- Work with ECIS team on multiple applications to lead and run code-review sessions with the wider team to ensure the project is on track to meet goals. Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers by sharing knowledge collaborating and problem solving.

Who you are

You can demonstrate 8 years experience in. Microservices Java/J2EE JSON REST API XML SOAP RDBMS/SQL Docker Maven/Gradle Postman Junit App security Scan tools (Sonar Fortify Blackduck) Cloud technologies (Azure AWS) Jenkins CI/CD and GIT. Its an asset if you are fluent in Object Oriented Design structured Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile environment.
