Job Description
Would you like to contribute to the safer use of vaccines and medicines for everyone everywhere We are looking for a dynamic Customer Engagement Specialist who is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish to join our Customer Engagement team.
Since 1978 UMC has been dedicated to developing supporting and expanding the field of pharmacovigilance science and practice.
As a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre we support work around the world to examine the potential adverse effects of medicines and vaccines and contribute to safer more informed patient care.
We are a diverse international group of pharmacists physicians data scientists system developers communicators and many other professionals all motivated by a deep belief that our work matters.
About the role
The External Engagement department at UMC provides solutions for the secure exchange and global use of pharmacovigilance data. We manage the full customer journey from building awareness to ensuring long-term customer retention.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting new business opportunities.
- Selling UMC products.
- Strengthening existing relationships to ensure continued use of UMC products.
- Contributing to the development of customer engagement strategies.
- Assisting in the sales process.
- Collaborating with other departments on projects related to our product offering.
What you will do
- Assist customers in selecting the most appropriate product for their needs while building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Communicate the value of our products to support standardisation and encourage long-term use.
- Coordinate and organise customer-related activities as needed.
- Act as a partner to customers not just a vendor by serving as a resource sharing networks and contacts guiding customers to relevant business areas and understanding their motivations and challenges in clinical trials and drug safety.
- Analyse and understand customer needs to identify new opportunities for UMC products.
- Support the Customer Liaison team in resolving complex customer inquiries.
- Assist the Customer Liaison team during the customer renewal process when needed.
- Provide analytical and administrative support for department-wide and organisation-wide projects.
