Job Summary

Locum NP/PA - Emergency Medicine Opportunity in Lansing MI

Join a dedicated healthcare team at a level 3 emergency department in Lansing Michigan. This facility supports an annual emergency room volume of over 40000 patient visits and provides comprehensive services including 24-hour radiology laboratory and surgical specialties. You will have the opportunity to work in the fast track area while collaborating with attending physicians available for support at all times.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide independent patient care in the EDs fast track area managing a diverse range of emergency cases.
Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management.
Work the 11am to 11pm shift 7 days a week alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with attending physicians and support emergency medicine residents during their shifts.
Participate in the float pool for emergency medicine APPs ensuring coverage and quality care.

Qualifications:

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Minimum of 2 years of recent emergency department experience.
Valid Michigan state license (not accepting IMLC).
ACLS and ATLS certifications.
Clean background for quick credentialing.

License and Certification Requirements:

Board Certification (REQUIRED)
DEA Verbal Confirmation at Name Clear (REQUIRED)
ACLS Certification (REQUIRED)
ATLS Certification (REQUIRED)
MI License (REQUIRED at time of clear no exceptions)
