Job Purpose Summary
Theporterwouldbe responsible forensuring that all internal meeting roomsandservices within these roomsand the surrounding areasaremaintainedto the highest ofstandardsat all timesand ensure all room setupsare competed correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete morning and eveningchecklists
- Working as a team to set-uproomsTownhallspaceand other event spaces by physically movingmeasuringandrearranging furniture etc.
- Responsible for larger meeting / classroom / boardroom style U-shape Cabaret just to name a few.
- Ensure meeting rooms are ready to be used throughoutthedayby carrying out pre-change-around / post change-around cleaningcleaning (marks or spills).
- Maintain/ Stockmeeting roomstationery - markers/erasers
- Maintain meeting room table batteries are fully chargedand raiseanyissues with Helpdesk line manager or supervisor
- Daily communication with Facilities- includingrecordingand reportinganyissues / faultsongoing throughouttheday
- Collection and delivery of parcels/ packages and eventPrinting of daily information reports
- Health and safety walk round / check
- Ad hoc facilities job with keys/ movingpedestals/chairs
- General maintenance and up keeping of all notice boards orflip chartsinthebuildings.
- This role will be performedacross multiple floors; overseeing internal meeting roomsonlyand therefore will not be dealing with external clients although someescorting forcontractorsmay berequired.
- Ensure use of trolleys provided.
- A uniform will beprovidedsmartblack safety shoeswill be provided.
In this role theporterwill be liaising with multiple departments due to the variety of the role although managed bytheSupervisortheporterwill be in communicationlargely withtheFacilities team (reportingissues / faultsor completingH&Swalk rounds).Ad hoc communication will also berequiredwith Mailroom.
Onoccasiontheporterwill be asked to complete ad hoc duties for any of these departments.

- Highlyorganised. Able to plan andprioritisethe work of self and others.
- The ability to listen question and interpret information to understand requirements
- Ability to interact with people at all levels
- Good communicationskills (written and Oral)
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Maintain a flexible approach to your working
Training:
A variety of training will be provided as avital part of this role is ensuring theporterknows which department to contact with regards to the various issues that may arise.A good understanding orpreviousexperience in the roles / teams below wouldthereforebeadvantageous.
Training will include:
- Reception Basicknowledge of room booking system and printing reports
- Cleaning& RecyclingUnderstanding of how and whatthe clientrecycles
