Waldens Machine was founded in 1976 by Charlie Walden. Primus purchased Waldens in 2006 and PCC purchased Primus in 2011. The Company offers a complete range of products and services including high speed machining (3 4 & 5 axis medium/complex aluminum and hard metal machining) kitting assembly and integration decorative coatings airfoil/propulsion structures specialist and global supply chain management.

Position Summary:

Waldens has a reputation for market leading performance and responsiveness in high speed machining. Some of their well-known customers included but are not limited to Boeing Bombardier Spirit Aerosystems Bell Helicopter Airbus and GE Aviation. The Company is fully certified for IS0 9001 and hold Revision C registration for AS9100.

Bench grinders/deburr operators perform finishing tasks on complex machined aerospace parts using a variety of tools. These individuals work under direct supervision to perform basic deburr operations such as edge breaking and simple surface finishing tasks. They will work with basic deburr tools. They will also work with pneumatic tools and use deburr pads to hand finish surfaces on parts. These individuals should be able to interpret and follow work instructions including work orders and travelers. After training these employees will also be expected to complete shop transactions in the ERP system. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic deburr operations on machined parts
  • Utilize deburr tools and hand finishing techniques to work on machined parts
  • Interpret and follow work orders and track necessary transactions in the ERP system
  • Other duties are to be assigned based on business needs.

Required Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • High level of attention to detail
  • This position does require working knowledge or intermediate use of technologyto include computers and other devices.
  • Position requires the ability to lift 35 lbs.

Required Experience:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required
  • 0-1 years of relevant work experience

Level of Education:

  • GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
