Position Summary
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for coordinating material flow maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials to job sites. This role requires strong organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Perform regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Track incoming and outgoing materials ensuring records are updated daily.
- Identify inventory discrepancies and assist in resolving issues.
Order & Transportation Coordination
- Schedule orders for transport to designated job sites.
- Communicate with drivers dispatch or logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor shipment timelines and update internal teams as needed.
Administrative & Documentation Duties
- File and maintain all inventory-related paperwork and electronic records.
- Confirm purchase orders (POs) ensuring accuracy in quantities pricing and vendor information.
- Assist with preparing reports for management as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory warehouse or logistics roles preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs (Excel inventory software etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required by the job.
