Job Summary
General Summary Of Duties:
To ensure that general accounting and inventory records are handled in compliance with established regulations and policies.
Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)
- Process inventory control documents and input price/quantity discrepancies
- Assist with inventory audits
- Assist with answers to questions concerning accounts payable and inventory control
- Data entry; filing; assist with daily check runs mailing and verifying addresses
- Handle request for information and data concerning accounting and inventory
- Perform daily tasks including data entry
- Perform cycle counts and checkpoint for warehouse
- Complete special projects reports and other clerical duties as needed
- Assist within the department for any and all duties as needed
- Perform other duties as asked by supervisor or manager
- Adhere to regulatory departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
Qualifications :
Performance Requirements: (Knowledge skills and abilities)
- General math skills
- Ability to effectively deal with internal/external customers some of whom will require patience tact and diplomacy to defuse anger collect accurate information and solve customer concerns.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Willing to learn and to be adaptable
- Neat professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene (Planned dress down days)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work as business demands
- Self-starter; must work without close supervision with ability to work independently
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of business English and spelling and operation of standard office equipment including adding machine computers and photo copier
- Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
- Ability to handle strong language in a warehouse environment.
Additional Information :
Experience Requirements
Five years experience in an accounting office setting required
Education Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Any combination of education training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
Desirables:
Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge of Infinium and Stratton Warren helpful.
