Job Summary

Under the direction of a Radiologist the CT Technologist performs computed tomography (CT) and radiology procedures with minimal supervision. This role requires independent judgment technical expertise and adherence to prescribed ionizing radiation protocols. The technologist ensures patient-centered care prioritizing patient safety and delivering high-quality imaging for all ages from neonates to geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities

Perform a variety of CT and radiology procedures using independent judgment and technical skill.
Apply prescribed ionizing radiation safely and accurately.
Ensure patient comfort safety and adherence to imaging protocols.
Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as assigned.
Communicate effectively with patients families and the care team.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of CT experience required. (Acute care experience not required unless applying for freestanding ER opportunities.)
Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) license required.
ARRT (R) & (CT) registry preferred.
Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required within 30 days of employment.
