Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President CPG Strategy Advisory

We are seeking a seasoned strategic advisor to partner with leading consumer brands in shaping growth strategies and transformation roadmaps across six critical capability areas:
Promotion Management (TPM) Optimize promotional spend and maximize ROI across retail partners.
Management Drive category growth through assortment and shelf optimization.
Sensing & Planning Enable AI-driven forecasting and S&OP redesign to manage demand volatility.
-to-Consumer (DTC) Strategy Build direct consumer relationships and first-party data ecosystems.
& ESG Advise on sustainable packaging Scope 3 emissions and ESG reporting.
Growth Management (RGM) Design pricing pack architecture and trade investment strategies to unlock profitable growth.
This role focuses on advising senior executives designing future-state operating models and guiding clients through data-driven decision-making to achieve measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory
Lead executive-level workshops to define growth priorities and transformation pathways.
Develop strategic playbooks investment cases and governance models for each capability area.
Deliver insights on emerging trends AI-driven analytics and consumer behavior shifts.

Capability-Specific Advisory
TPM: Recommend frameworks for trade fund allocation retailer collaboration and promotion effectiveness analytics.
Category Management: Advise on assortment rationalization planogram optimization and omnichannel category leadership.
Demand Sensing & Planning: Guide clients on real-time demand signals inventory optimization and S&OP process design.
DTC Strategy: Shape direct-to-consumer channel strategies consumer data platforms and subscription models.
Sustainability & ESG: Advise on packaging transitions Scope 3 quantification and ESG compliance frameworks.
Revenue Growth Management: Define pricing corridors pack-price architecture and trade spend optimization strategies to drive margin and volume growth.

Client Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior stakeholders.
Facilitate strategy design sessions and capability maturity assessments.
Influence decisions on pricing trade terms assortment and channel strategies.

Practice Development
Create POVs whitepapers and frameworks for CPG commercial excellence.
Mentor teams on advisory methodologies and strategic storytelling.
Contribute to offering development and go-to-market initiatives

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
Bachelors in Business Economics or related field; MBA preferred.
Relevant experience in CPG strategy consulting or senior advisory roles.
Proven track record advising on TPM Category Management and RGM plus exposure to Demand Planning DTC and ESG.
Familiarity with AI-driven analytics and digital transformation strategies.
Willingness to travel for client workshops and strategy sessions.

Preferred qualifications
Deep understanding of trade terms retailer negotiations category growth levers pricing strategy and planning processes.
Ability to translate data and analytics into strategic recommendations.
Strong executive presence and facilitation skills for boardroom-level engagements.
Influence on client strategic decisions (validated through adoption of recommended frameworks).
Growth in advisory revenue and client satisfaction scores.
Thought leadership contributions (published POVs speaking engagements).
