Job Summary

The Barrington School District is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative School Psychologist for the 2026-27 school year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer psychological intellectual social emotional and academic assessments for students suspected of or identified with disabilities. All evaluations must align with National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) standards.

  • Translate complex data into comprehensive written reports and clear verbal presentations providing actionable recommendations for parents and educators.

  • Deliver evidence-based counseling services to students with behavioral challenges and special needs as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Serve as an integral member of the IEP team interpreting independent evaluations facilitating eligibility determinations and recommending appropriate programming.

  • Act as a strategic resource for teachers and administrators providing expert guidance on best practices for supporting students with disabilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven ability to collect organize and analyze academic and behavioral data to inform instruction and intervention.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.

  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple evaluation timelines effectively.

  • A deep understanding of special education procedures state regulations and NASP ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • School PsychologistNH Certification Required;
  • Masters Degree in related field;
  • relevant experience in an educational setting;
  • a minimum of 3 years experience working as a School Psychologist is preferred.
