Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) Rehab Director Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Speech Therapy department ensuring effective and efficient service delivery for all residents.
• Supervise and mentor a team of speech and language pathologists and assistants providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create comprehensive individualized treatment plans for residents ensuring optimal outcomes.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of residents speech language swallowing and cognitive-communication needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans aimed at improving residents communication skills swallowing abilities and cognitive functions.
• Monitor and evaluate therapy progress making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure residents needs are met.
• Foster a positive and supportive work culture encouraging collaboration and professional development within the therapy team.
• Manage departmental operations including scheduling staffing and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide education and training to staff on the latest speech therapy techniques and best practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of residents progress and therapy outcomes ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Advocate for residents needs ensuring the availability of necessary resources therapies and support to enhance their communication swallowing and overall well-being.

• Graduate of an accredited school with a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• License as required by the State of Wisconsin to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• 1 years plus clinical experience.
