KBR is seeking a DRAFTER / CAD Operator to support our SPACE SUIT for KBRs Science and Space division.

This is a temporary position for six months

The DRAFTER / CAD Operator will work on a collaborative team developing building and maintaining Space Suits and supporting equipment for low Earth orbit and beyond.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Using CAD software such as Draftsite and SolidWorks prepare models technical drawings
Working with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications
Writing related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates
Ensuring that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards
Maintaining a library of standard drawing templates
Updating existing drawings as new information becomes available
Prepare and present designs at various design reviews using MS Word and PowerPoint
Produce other required design documentation
Understand nominal production processes
Manage multiple issues at one time and develop an integrated solution

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Candidates must meet the requirements listed below to be considered for this position; please note required items on your resume.

This position requires U.S. Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
Education: Must have a associates degree in the field of Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) or a related field.
Years of Experience: Must have minimum of 1 years of recent and related work experience.
In lieu of degree : Candidates with 5 years of relevant work experience will be considered.
Candidate must possess excellent verbal written interpersonal leadership and team working skills.
Demonstrated skill in using computer-aided design (CAD)/drafting equipment and software in design work.
Demonstrated ability to collaboratewell with peers and cross-functional teamsand external customers.
Excellent computer skills (MS Windows & Office)

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Experience with Solidworks Draftsite and PDM

Ability to examine and measure finished articles to verify conformance to standards

Familiarity with JSC-STD-8080 Design and Procedural Standards
