Job Summary
Job Title: MRI Technologist Contract
Location: Hackensack NJ 07601
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule & Shift Details
Schedule: MondayFriday
Shift Time: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Weekends: Every 3rd weekend (Saturday & Sunday required)
On-Call: Not required
Job Overview
Amedical center is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform a wide range of diagnostic MRI procedures under physician direction. This role requires strong technical expertise attention to detail and the ability to work independently while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced imaging environment.
Responsibilities
Perform MRI procedures in compliance with departmental and safety standards
Prepare and position patients for MRI exams ensuring comfort and safety
Review physician orders and requisitions to determine appropriate imaging protocols
Prepare and administer contrast media as required
Process and complete imaging studies in a timely manner
Collaborate with radiologists to optimize imaging protocols and exam quality
Maintain accurate patient logs documentation and equipment downtime records
Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions appropriately
Assist with stat and emergency imaging studies as needed
Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment
Monitor inventory and notify leadership of supply needs
Ensure accurate exam charging and documentation
Provide excellent customer service to patients and families
Assist with cross-training and coverage within the MRI department as needed
Adhere to organizational policies procedures and standards of behavior
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 12 years of recent experience as a licensed MRI Technologist
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients and staff
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology (Required)
Certifications & Licensure
Active New Jersey State MRI License (Required)
ARRT (MRI) Certification (Required)
