Purpose

In this role you will support the development implementation and measurement of Bord Bias client support services and activities to build and deliver sustainable business lead conversions for Irish food and drink exporters in the sectors of strategic priority within the region.
What youll do
Support and deliver assigned client services relevant to the local market (e.g. market information and activation) in line with the market strategy implementation plan and the Bord Bia Corporate and Sector strategies.
Champion an insights-led approach to business development by becoming a regional market insights expert collating and disseminating relevant and timely market and sector information to Irish client companies and sharing knowledge with colleagues in line with best practice set out by Bord Bia.
Proactively maintain and build a network of regional trade contacts in priority sectors across all channels and in various roles within priority customer accounts.
Localise and implement lines of communication from Bord Bia ensuring optimum reach for Bord Bias trade and consumer messaging on industry capabilities clients unique product attributes and our verified sustainability credentials via local PR and consumer media buying.
Contribute to the development and annual review of Bord Bias strategy implementation plan for the market by developing local strategy plans and delivering on assigned KPIs.
Support the development and rollout of all Bord Bia Talent Academy work programmes related to North America.
Champion client capability development programmes in partnership with the Global Strategic Insights & Industry Capability team.
Effectively manage assigned budgets in accordance with One Bord Bia processes and policies.
Adhere to the One Bord Bia Operating Model.
About You
Essential Knowledge Skills & Capabilities
Knowledge:
A minimum of 3 years proven experience of building professional relationships with suppliers trade customers media & government both in Ireland and the marketplace.
Experience generating and distilling market insights.
Successful implementation of trade and/or consumer marketing campaigns.
Skills & Capabilities:
Fluent written and spoken English and proficient written and spoken local market language where applicable.
Excellent communication & presentation skills with strong verbal and report writing ability.
Digital First mindset with proficient business use of the full Microsoft Office suite.
Resilience and openness to travel within North America and to Ireland (minimum 25%).
Experience operating in a marketing or business development role.
Degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline e.g. Business Marketing etc.
Experience & knowledge of the Irish Food Drink & Horticulture industry.
Experience operating professionally in different cultures.
Membership of relevant professional bodies.
Influencing and negotiating skills adapted to the local culture
Experience in the use of Salesforce or equivalent CRM and video conferencing systems.
