Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect, Betting & Gaming, AWS

The Media Entertainment Games & Sports team is seeking an experienced and motivated technologist with a passion for creating strategies best practices and solving complex business challenges focusing on the Betting and Gaming industry.

As a Principal Specialist Solutions Architect (SA) for Betting and Gaming at AWS youll be responsible for educating customers partners and internal stakeholders on emerging technologies and solutions that are transforming the Betting and Gaming industry in areas such as real-time wagering platforms player engagement responsible gaming regulatory compliance and advanced analytics. You get to work with sports betting operators online casinos lottery providers fantasy sports platforms and gaming technology vendors to help them build scalable secure and compliant solutions with the AWS cloud. Youll provide hands-on architectural guidance for real-life customer projects involving various AWS services and Independent Software Vendor (ISV)/partner solutions and collaborate with cross-Amazon teams to develop outcome-based holistic solutions for strategic opportunities in the betting and gaming industry.

In this role youll be a content creator a storyteller and a presenter building and publishing content and collateral for betting and gaming customers in one-on-one and group settings. Youll work with customers remotely and in person sharing your expertise and insights. This role requires at least 30% travel including international travel.

Key job responsibilities
As a Leader youll anticipate future trends and identify applications of emerging technologies to enhance betting platforms gaming operations player personalization and responsible gaming initiatives enabling innovative experiences and effective solutions for our customers.

- Drive the strategy for betting and gaming solutions for customers across sports betting online casino lottery and fantasy sports sectors.
- Architect and deliver innovative customer-obsessed solutions leveraging AWS services and partner offerings tailored for the betting and gaming industry with focus on real-time processing scalability security and regulatory compliance.
- Create high-quality enablement content including guidance blogs demos POCs and presentations to share your expertise in betting and gaming solutions.
- Deliver written and spoken communications on complex betting platform architecture gaming operations player analytics and regulatory compliance subjects establishing AWS as the public cloud of choice for organizations in the betting and gaming industry looking to accelerate innovation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other Solutions Architects working with betting and gaming customers.

Our primary goal is to meet customers in their cloud journeys and work backwards from their industry-specific needs to transform their businesses and industries. Our team focuses on business outcomes and industry use cases on behalf of our customers whether that is how we build products and solutions how we sell how we deliver or how we partner.

- 5 years of experience in technology leadership roles within large enterprise betting and gaming organizations or gaming operators
- 5 years of hands-on experience architecting complex betting and gaming solutions using AWS IT/ISV and multi-vendor environment technologies
- 5 years experience with betting platforms gaming operations player engagement systems and analytics in the betting and gaming industry
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions (e.g. UK Gambling Commission Malta Gaming Authority state-level US regulations)

- Knowledge of responsible gaming frameworks anti-money laundering (AML) requirements and player protection mechanisms.
- Experience with real-time event processing low-latency architectures and high-availability systems critical to betting operations.
