We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Assembly Team Lead to support and coordinate daily operations of our Assembly Line during the first shift. Reporting to the Area Supervisor you will lead a team of associates ensure adherence to quality standards and maintain efficiency across processes. Your expertise will play a key role in training new team members and maintaining operational excellence through lean manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with the Area Supervisor to manage and prioritize daily assembly line activities.
- Be proficient in all departmental processes; act as a trainer and mentor for new hires and cross-training initiatives.
- Implement and promote BPS (Business Process Standards) principles for continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Ensure timely delivery of components and finished units to meet production schedules.
- Read and interpret work instructions product drawings and special handling sheets (SHS).
- Use manual/power tools and measuring devices to assemble appliances and perform functional tests.
- Inspect finished products for quality identify defects and manage non-conforming materials appropriately.
- Rework units as needed to meet quality standards.
- Support a safe and organized work environment through adherence to best practices in material handling
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing or HVAC environment.
- Previous team lead or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of assembly tools processes and work instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret product drawings standard work and job travelers.
- Proven ability to lead a team of 1015 employees in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with quality engineering and support teams.
- Must be detail-oriented organized and capable of problem-solving in real-time.
- Commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement.
- Must be flexible and able to work overtime or other shifts as needed
