Job Summary
Our customer is the worlds largest privately owned container shipping line and a major global logistics operator supporting container ships trains planes and cruise ships around the world.
With the growth of the cruise business unit our customer has recently opened a new office in Miami FL and is looking to add some key software capabilities to this team. We are hiring for the first Developer for this location.
THE ROLE
- The Developer will play a key role in the design development and maintenance of applications.
- This position is responsible for analyzing system requirements prioritizing development tasks and writing clean testable code programming languages.
- The developer will create technical specifications and architectural designs as well as test debug and refactor applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- In addition to hands-on coding the Developer will support and mentor junior developers ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards.
- The role also involves documenting development and operational procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain project continuity.
- Staying current with trends in the maritime and logistics industry as well as project management methodologies is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Building high-quality innovative and fully performing software.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards and technical design.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Be familiar with the latest software development patterns.
- Develop technical specifications and architecture.
- Review and refactor code.
- Test and debug applications.
- Support junior developers work.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ability to work across multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of modern Software Design and Development methodologies/patterns.
- Maintains Current knowledge of all relevant technological developments.
- Serves as the escalation point for architecture-related activities.
- .Net framework and Core C# (C/MFC are a plus)
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design threading dependency Injection and asynchronous development.
- Knowledge of Azure technologies required (key vault blobs graph API etc.)
- Expert-level SQL developer with strong knowledge of T-SQL schemas and performance tuning
- Entity framework both core and standard
- REST APIs/Web services
- Very strong knowledge of WinForms
Optional Requirements:
- HTML5/JavaScript. jQuery Widgets.
- Typescript and Angular.
Education level:
BS or Masters in Computer Science Engineering or relevant field
Compensation: 140000 - $160000 DOE plus benefits
