As a Sales and Events Coordinator you would be responsible for efficient and smooth execution of all sales groups and catering events. Acts as liaison between the customer and the hotel in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. . Provides the director and managers of sales and marketing with administrative and clerical support including word- processing typing e-mailing filing data-entry copying corresponding answering telephones and performing other general office duties. Maximize revenues through effective upselling of services. Supports the Sales and Catering staff.
What will I be doing
Some of the Sales and Events Coordinator functions include but not limited to:
Responsible for executions of Sales groups and catering events: Coordinate sales group / group meeting needs with clients coordinate communicate between hotel staff (all involved departments) and client to ensure delivery of event details (BEOs group resumes etc.) are managed effectively personally inspect all meeting rooms prior to each event.
Coordinate projects and activities. Synchronize the needs of the group / event with the hotel staff to ensure smooth operations. This may include but not limited to; e-Tools coordinator inhouse event bookings etc.
Assist with site inspections/tours as needed. Provide support and guidance throughout the event planning process ensuring client satisfaction. Make all VIP reservations. Greet internal and external clients daily when entering the department. Assist with variety of requests.
Data entry using Delphi Microsoft Word and Excel; including printing distributing reports monitor group pick up etc.
Maintain detailed filing system for the department.
The hourly rate range is $28 - $30 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
