The mission of the Acadiana Area Human Services District is to improve the quality of life for citizens of Acadiana who have behavioral health and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Acadiana Area Human Services District is seeking a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselorto provide mental health and behavioral support services to individuals in our community. The ideal candidate will offer counseling develop treatment plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote client wellness and recovery. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in working with children and adolescents who have emotional and/or behavioral disorders including addictive disorders.
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) plus two years of counseling experience.

Location: This position is located in the Acadiana Area Human Services District Tyler Behavioral Health Clinic in Lafayette LA
Work Schedule: Monday Friday 40 hours/week
Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional
This AAHSD SITE is NHSC (National Health Service Corps) APPROVED. QUALIFYING PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS MAY BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM.
