The Role: Senior Cloud Architect (Azure)
The Senior Cloud Architect will be responsible for defining governing and guiding Azure-based cloud architectures across the organisation. This senior contract role focuses on architectural leadership hands-on technical design and close collaboration with engineering security and business stakeholders to ensure scalable secure and resilient cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

10 years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years in Azure cloud architecture roles
Design and define scalable secure and resilient Azure cloud architectures
Provide architectural leadership across cloud migration optimisation and modernisation initiatives
Collaborate with engineering security and data teams to ensure best-practice cloud solutions
Translate business and operational requirements into robust Azure architecture designs
Govern and review cloud implementations to ensure alignment with architectural standards and frameworks
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

About You

10 years of IT experience with strong depth in enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms
5 years of hands-on experience designing and governing Azure cloud architectures
Strong expertise in Azure services security networking identity and governance
Proven experience in cloud migration and modernisation programmes
Ability to operate confidently at senior stakeholder and executive level
Strong documentation communication and architectural governance skills
