Job Summary
Open Call for Class TeachersWaldorf School of Lexington located in the Greater Boston area is currently accepting applications for full-time Waldorf-trained class teachers. This onsite position has an expected start date of August 2026 and offers full-benefits with a salary range of $ commensurate with a Waldorf class teacher the successful candidate will understand the development approach to educating both young children and adolescents observe each individual child with reverence and craft lessons to meet their ideals fears and aspirations. By integrating the arts with history science geography social studies and mathematics the class teacher will offer a transformational experience just at the time children are asking who am I and what am I here to do Lessons will be crafted to include projects which exercise student initiative and build class teachers are storytellers musicians artists and dramatic coaches as they interpret the curriculum at each phase of development. The class teacher is also responsible for students overall academic and social development. Subject specialists are part of the teaching team working toward the same goals. They teach Spanish Mandarin math reading English music movement handwork woodwork and athletics. Special main lesson block teachers also support the class teacher as needed.
