About the Role
An international financial technology environment is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join its Shared Data Ecosystem (SDE) team within the Iberian IT Platform.
This area is responsible for collecting consolidating and distributing Accounting and Risk data from multiple local entities through a single data stream feeding a centralized Data Warehouse (Shared Reporting Space SRS) used for regulatory and capital reporting.
You will be part of the Capital Reporting Systems domain working on strategic initiatives related to Capital IFRS9 and Risk Reporting with direct exposure to complex financial data and regulatory frameworks.
Your Mission
- Work on high-impact financial and regulatory reporting projects including Credit Risk IFRS9 FINREP Basel IV Equity Risk and Operational Risk
- Contribute to the implementation and evolution of reporting solutions and user data access (80% project work)
- Ensure production monitoring and operational support during monthly and quarterly closing periods (20% support activities)
- Perform data analysis production monitoring incident follow-up and release management
- Use standard technologies mainly SQL and Python in production environments
- Collaborate with international support teams based in Porto Lisbon and Paris
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze requirements with multiple stakeholders
- Translate business needs into User Stories and functional solutions
- Validate deliverables with end users
- Investigate and resolve incidents with short-term workarounds and long-term fixes
- Monitor closing processes and proactively follow up on stakeholder requests
- Participate in on-call rotations when required (nights/weekends)
- Actively contribute to an Agile organization including ceremonies backlog prioritization and continuous improvement
Technical Requirements
- Bachelors degree in IT Computer Science Finance or Economics
- 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst preferably in Financial Services or Regulatory Reporting
- Strong mastery of SQL
- Python knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills
- Solid understanding of Banking Finance and Risk concepts
- Good overall IT and data architecture knowledge
