Senior Sensory Manager

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: As a Senior Sensory Manager youll take sensory leadership to the next level owning strategic initiatives and collaborating with senior leaders to deliver cutting-edge insights. Youll lead sensory research programs that directly influence product innovation and customer satisfaction while mentoring a growing team of experts.

Responsibilities:

  • Own Sensory Strategy: Set the vision and direction for sensory research across the organization.
  • Build Excellence: Develop and enhance sensory methodologies to ensure competitive differentiation.
  • Mentor and Inspire: Manage and grow a high-performing sensory team fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Marketing R&D QA and Sales leaders to align sensory objectives with business KPIs.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as the sensory expert for key customers delivering insights that strengthen relationships.
  • Advance Innovation: Drive exploration of new technologies and approaches in sensory science.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Food Science Sensory Science Poultry Science or similar field strongly preferred with 7 years of sensory or consumer science experience.
  • Masters Degree in Food Science Sensory Science Poultry Science or similar field strongly preferred with 5 years of sensory or consumer science experience.
  • 3 years of management experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced expertise in sensory tools statistical software and data visualizationrequired
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale projects and influence executive decision making.
  • A track record of fostering high-performing teams and delivering measurable results.
  • Ability to travel about 25% of the time.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or withouta reasonableaccommodation
  • As a salaried position with the companyyou may be required totravel at some pointto other facilities to attend Company events or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting the amount of travel mayvaryand the most qualified candidate must bewilling andable to travel as business needs dictate.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision Medical and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave vacation and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $130000-$150000
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Companys annual bonus plan the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
