Job Summary

Job Title: Inventory Manager General Production

Location: San Antonio TX Reports To: Production Manager

Position Summary:

The Inventory Manager will oversee and optimize the management of raw materials used in production. This role ensures accurate inventory levels timely procurement and efficient storage to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented highly organized and experienced in inventory control within a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Control:

Maintain accurate records of raw material inventory levels.
Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Procurement Coordination:

Collaborate with purchasing to ensure timely replenishment of raw materials.
Monitor supplier performance and lead times.

Production Support:

Ensure raw materials are available to meet production schedules.
Communicate shortages or delays to production teams proactively.

Data Management & Reporting:

Utilize ERP or inventory management systems for tracking and reporting.
Generate inventory reports for management review.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials in compliance with safety standards.
Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

3 years of inventory management experience preferably in a manufacturing or production setting.
Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and ERP software.
Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
Familiarity with raw material specifications and quality standards.
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
