EduTalent Group are searching for Learning Support Assistants to join a supportive and inclusive further education setting in South East London. As a Learning Support Assistant you will play a key role in supporting learners with SEN to access education develop independence and achieve positive outcomes. You will work alongside experienced staff to deliver person centred support in a safe and inclusive learning environment.
This is a hands on opportunity where you will:
Support learners with their educational personal and social development.
Provide tailored learning and accessibility support to individuals and small groups.
Assist with the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning strategies.
Promote safeguarding wellbeing and equality across the learning environment.
Support learners to access college services activities and wider opportunities.
Work collaboratively with teachers support staff families and external agencies.
Requirements
Essential
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with learners staff parents/carers and professionals.
Willingness to support learners with personal care and mobility where required.
Understanding of safeguarding equality and the challenges faced by learners with SEND.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
Good organisational skills with sound IT and administrative abilities.
Motivation flexibility and commitment to supporting learner development.
Desirable
Experience supporting SEND learners in secondary or further education settings.
Experience working in a multi cultural or inclusive learning environment.
Understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning approaches.
Knowledge of SEND strategies or interventions.
