Summary
- The Housing Registration Assistant plays a crucial role in providing both administrative and customer-facing support to the Housing Options Team. This position is essential for maintaining the Councils Housing Register assessing and reviewing applications for permanent housing and ensuring that customers receive accurate advice on housing options and the Councils allocation scheme.
Responsibilities
- Review update amend and reassess housing applications in accordance with the Councils Allocations Scheme.
- Support applicants in completing forms and ensure they understand the assessment and review process.
- Contact applicants by telephone and in writing to provide updates and communicate decisions.
- Conduct follow-up enquiries and liaise with Area Housing Offices external agencies and partner organizations.
Requirements
- Experience providing practical advice and assistance to the public.
- Experience working in a multi-racial inner-city environment.
- No specific qualifications required but must meet literacy requirements for the role.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 35 hours per week
- Enhanced DBS & barred list check (Child & adult) required.
- Bi-weekly payment schedule
