Our client in the supply chain and IT sector is seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer to identify new business opportunities strengthen client relationships and drive revenue growth. The role places strong emphasis on IT-enabled and digital solutions that support supply chain efficiency workflow automation and operational optimization. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal technical teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet business needs and support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Identify develop and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the companys supply chain and IT-enabled solutions.
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals presentations and pitches to prospective clients.
Conduct market research to identify customer needs industry trends and competitive offerings.
Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Understand client operations and recommend suitable digital IT or workflow automation solutions.
Serve as the key liaison between clients and internal technical teams.
Technical & Solution Support
Collaborate with IT and operations teams to design and deliver tailored client solutions.
Support product demonstrations software walkthroughs and client onboarding activities.
Participate in proof-of-concept sessions and pilot implementations where required.
Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate records of leads opportunities and sales activities.
Prepare regular sales and business development performance reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical business practices.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Computer Science Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Additional qualification or certification in IT or digital solutions is an advantage.
24 years experience in business development sales or client-facing roles preferably within supply chain IT or digital services environments.
Proven experience selling IT solutions software or technology-enabled services.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of IT systems software solutions or digital technologies.
Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
Ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
Strong analytical problem-solving and relationship management skills.
Results-oriented self-motivated and able to work independently.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM tools.
