Purpose Statement

We are seeking a driven and strategic Head of Product to lead the development and expansion of retail credit investments and bill payments at this role you will drive innovation optimize user experience and scale our financial products to enhance customer engagement and revenue growth.

As a key leader you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute product strategies ensuring that our offerings remain at the forefront of the fintech industry. With a deep understanding of credit services digital payments and financial solutions you will spearhead initiatives that align with business objectives and market demands. This role is ideal for a visionary product leader passionate about driving impact fostering innovation and shaping the future of financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Growth: Lead the development and execution of growth-focused product strategies across CredPals financial ecosystem ensuring scalability innovation and market expansion aligned with business goals.
Product Development: Drive the entire product lifecycle from ideation and discovery through development launch iteration and optimisation ensuring strong execution and alignment with customer and business needs.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics customer insights and performance metrics to inform prioritisation refine product offerings improve outcomes and enhance engagement.
User Experience Optimisation: Work closely with Product Managers UX/UI Designers and Engineers to deliver seamless intuitive and high-impact customer experiences across all product touchpoints.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate effectively with Engineering Marketing Sales Operations Risk and Compliance teams to ensure seamless execution regulatory alignment and strong product adoption.
Go-to-Market Strategy: Define and execute go-to-market strategies that drive product adoption revenue growth and long-term customer retention.
Agile Implementation: Strengthen product development processes by embedding agile methodologies and best practices to improve speed quality and responsiveness.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends user behaviour and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and keep CredPal at the forefront of innovation.
Revenue Optimisation: Identify and scale monetisation opportunities across CredPals products while balancing customer value risk and long-term sustainability.
Team Leadership & Culture: Build mentor and lead a high-performing product team fostering a culture of ownership innovation collaboration and excellence.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Finance or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
5 years of experience in product management with at least 3 years in a leadership role within fintech or high-growth financial services.
Proven experience in building and scaling digital financial products particularly in credit payments and investment solutions.
Deep understanding of credit products retail finance investments and bill payments within the Nigerian market.
Strong analytical skills with expertise in data-driven product decision-making.
Experience in product strategy development roadmap execution and go-to-market planning.
Expertise in agile methodologies and product lifecycle management with experience leading cross-functional teams.
Ability to optimize user experience through UX research A/B testing and customer feedback integration.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management in fintech and credit products.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a track record of driving business growth through product innovation.
